Is there a software that can tell you what note the sub-bass of your kick is on?
Also earlier in the course, you were saying that the sub-bass should always be between D# to F#, but now you are saying that the sub-bass in the kick should always match your bass. Does this mean that your bass always needs to be between D# and F# so it can match the sub properly? I am a bit confused by this. Thank you so much for the help!

Span can show you the note of the kick, but if your bass doesnt have a specific key at all, then dont worry about the note. Or dont worry about it at all, you can just take a kick that sounds good with your track.
Just go by ear!
