It’s interesting you should mention this as a topic..my therapist just yesterday told me I was “catastrophizing” by thinking of all the “what ifs” relating to a situation I am going through, which compiled negativity and made the original situation more difficult to deal with. I think there is a lot to be said for focusing on the present and what we can do now, and then dealing with new hurdles as they arise.
