Mix downs to me is probably the biggest challenge i’ve come across so far as new producer. Identifying different frequencies is also a struggle just because of the inexperience I have so far. What would be your biggest tip for new producers to practice with and learn how to mix down properly? Because to me a track I make might sound good but to others it might not.
I’d say what helped me a lot is to reference other tracks and try to identify what specifically I need to work on with my tracks. Like it could be the impact of my kicks, or something like that. Getting feedback can also be helpful, so get ideas for what you can focus on with your learning.
